Get your music out.

Scattera is a tool to upload your music, generate unique links for everyone, and get notified when they listen or download (even if they’re not on Scattera)

Navigate labels and influencers

When you finish a song and send it to someone, the last thing you want is the grueling wait to see whether they listened, downloaded, and are really into it. We remove the guesswork, so you know you’re on a good track or they’re completely unresponsive.

Your own music vault

We offer ample space to store your songs privately and listen to them on your computer or phone. You can also store versions of the same song so everyone you send it to will see the latest version (coming soon).

Time to ditch SoundCloud

If you’re tired of paying too much for a bloated experience on SoundCloud or Dropbox just so you can store your music and get streaming links, come over for a stripped back, fast, and reliable experience – without feeling robbed.

Homegrown

Scattera is made by a single developer/musician who couldn’t find a tool to help him ease the process of listening to own works in progress and sending finished tracks to labels. So he built one.

How it works

  1. Sign up and create your profile – your tracks won’t be public, and only people you send music to will be able to see your name and picture.
  2. Upload a song in WAV or MP3, then fill out its title and artwork.
  3. Enter a nickname (such as DJ Darude), and get a unique link to share.
  4. When Darude listens to your track or downloads it (if you enabled downloads, that is), it’ll show up on your dashboard and you’ll optionally get an email notification.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are there storage and other limits on uploaded songs?

Currently in the beta there’s no hard cap on the number of tracks you can have and the storage you can use, but I’ll introduce a paid tier soon that’ll have 40GB of space and unlimited tracks. At that point the free tier will be reduced, but anyone who’s already registered will have more generous limits, as a reward for their early support.

What file formats can I upload?

You can upload WAV and MP3 files, with the former being preferred for quality.

Do people have to sign into Scattera for me to see their listens and downloads?

Not at all. Just by opening their custom link, Scattera registers the listen or download as theirs. As a flipside, if your recipient forwards your link to anyone else, they’ll also show up under the same nickname you set when generating the link.

Is Scattera changing my track’s metadata in any way?

No, if someone downloads your track they’ll get the exact same file you uploaded, without any changes to the audio or metadata. If you’d like to see a way of editing metadata on Scattera, please write to hello at scattera.com.
